Casual Wishlist

Hello beauties,

So in keeping with the decision to start doing outfit wish lists i decided this weeks was going to get casual, the outfits that we all have just to stroll around town or visit people through the day. Because life's not all about the glamorous outfits!however that doesn't mean we cant keep the casual looking stylish and in fashion.

This first outfit just shouts casual; the classic slouchy jumper, mixed with this seasons love for bold colour creates a perfect blend of trend (I'm really proud of that saying, blend of trend! genius.) to keep you in style when out and about, accompanied by of course the best in casual; the black leggings. When paired with a long jumper I'm all up for wearing leggings out and about. Of course my love for the denim jacket remains strong as ever, and in this outfit creates a lovely summer/spring feel. Finished off with a pair of the best shoes in the world for comfort and informal dress, converse, and a rucksack; the mother of all casual outfits.

The second i adore. I don't know what it is about the second outfits in these posts! They just always seem to be great in my eyes. Mostly because the second is a complete contrast to the first, a mix of rock/grunge style makes this outfit perfect for a walk into town. Based around the tshirt dress; a favourite of mine this season. the dress creates a great day outfit style, good for slouching about in the house or walking comfortably around the shops. Of course layered with the all mighty leather sleeved denim jacket, the leather working in a perfect contrast to the denim. Yet still remaining in keeping with the grey and black theme. Dr martens to keep your feet lovely and comfortable throughout the day. The tote from this outfit is also a winner for me, so simple yet so effectively cool. The lazy oaf totes are some of my favourites! The camera print being perfect for the obsessed instagram member (like me!) and finally the jewelry, an important aspect of an outfit like this for me. These are incredibly statement pieces to keep the outfits bold and rocker vibe. (In love with topshop jewelry!)

Want, want, want!

Hello beauties!

Since last week was such a hit with the two outfit wish lists i decided to bring that back this week, with two outfits i put together using items from both river island and topshop (however you could recreate from shops around you), the two outfits i created were based on pieces that were new in for this season. Both are filled with aspects i love and need this year!

The first is based on a new dress in at river island, i love the tshirt dress look, and to be honest i really want one this year. The idea of mixing the comfort of the over sized tshirt with a dress is one i worship. i paired this with the classic denim jacket, with grunge style ripped freys how could you resist? I bought a cropped one last year in the sales and i wore it pretty much all through summer, this year i want a bigger one that can be worn in slightly colder weather with a jumper or hoodie beneath it. I added a pair of leather look Chelsea boots as they re a favourite of mine at the moment. And finished it all off with a black rucksack.

The second is one i completely fell in love with once i had finished. The mix of the skater skirt (which i adore) and the polka dot shirt (i need one this year) is an outfit that's perfect for me, i'd perhaps tuck the shirt into the skirt depending on the length. I added black suede shoes finished with a shiny tip, a statement ring and gold necklace to add extra detail. To finish off and bring more colour in i added a pastel orange/peach bag from river island. And i love the finished outfit!

Its strange how much i enjoy doing this kind of wish list, putting outfits together, even on the computer, is so enjoyable. I just love it! And of course i hope you do too!

Lush review

Hello beauties,

So, today's post is another review on some stuff i picked up almost two weeks ago, Ive been desperate to review these bad boys as they quite literally are some of my best purchases, ever. However i held off, because i don't see the point in reviewing something i haven't tried yet or have only used once, just because it smells good or looks good and also using something once doesn't tell you, or your readers, whether its worth buying. So i decided to wait and use them over a couple of weeks so i could do a fair review.

Now, i basically decided i wanted a product that works. As i mentioned in my soap and glory review i do have sensitive skin, which does react to an awful lot of spot treatments (nightmare, i know!) This really frustrates me, because even 'sensetive skin' branded products make me all red and blotchy, and i realise it's not just me! I decided lush cosmetics was a good place to start, as the lush in my town offer a lot of assistance, and i think that's what you need if you really are a bit of a disaster when it comes to finding things that work for you! So i took a trip to lush and was served by a brilliant woman who showed me and helped me test, everything they had for sensitive skin. (click the names of the products to view them)

The search for a cleanser
I was shown all manner of things, i tried the fresh pharmacy facial soap, which if I'm honest isn't for me, i wasn't too keen on rubbing a bar of soap on my face... That might just be me! But i do prefer to use liquid cleansers! Next i was shown something i didn't buy but was given a sample of by the assistant, its the ultra bland cleanser. I have tried this on nights when i don't shower mostly to remove make up from my skin and leave it healthier (I would defenitly use this as a make up remover if you wear make up often as it gets it off so quickly and easily!) My problem is the smell, i don't know what that smell is but i hate it! For me it can only be described like a really old library smell. (I'm so sorry for these descriptions) It just smells bland, as there is no flavour to it, which for me is important! however i then moved on to the real babe; the herbalism cleanser. I'm going to marry this cleanser. I'm sorry but it has come to this. Ive fallen in love with a cleanser, is that so wrong? The texture of this is not, no matter how much i love it, a normal one. In the pot it literally appears like green play doh! However you ad water to it and create a liquid paste which you then rub on your face. It's the best thing ever. It gives off a really herb smell. gosh don't i sound stupid! sorry for that description, but it is just a herb smell. (it was either herb or spicy salad smell... What is wrong with me today?) Any who, this creates a really soft feel to your face, in no way does it sting or make you go red. It's perfect. within a day its dried out spots. which is fantastic! as that's exactly what you want from a spot treatment. for me this is now a facial routine staple. I'll be buying this until.. Forever!

the perfect toner
I was only shown one toner, and that was the Eau roma water, and to be honest i didn't really need to try anything else, its prefect, It contains both lavender and rose water. Its these smells that create a really calming effect as the toner is described as an aromatherapy water. I agree really its a completely calming smell, both in your skin and mentally. I do use this day and night after using herbalism and in the day its a gorgeous smell to carry, on a night its a really soothing smell. Not only this but its reduced redness so much! My skin looks a lot more natural and less irritated!

The expensive moisturiser
I sadly did not buy vanishing cream (silent crying) however i did get given a tester pot, which contained a teaspoon wroth of it. I can understand why as at the price you wouldn't be giving out barrels of it but when it runs out I'm going to have to go back in with a bowlers hat and a moustache and try to get another sample... That was a joke.. (sort of)  however i love it so much! I use it after cleansing and toning to protect the pores from spots developing and i love it. My skin feel mega soft (I'm not kidding you have to try this stuff to see, it makes you all baby soft!) Not only this but the smell is beautiful and you don't need to use loads, just a couple of dabs and your face is covered! but as i said i didnt buy this, i just couldn't bare to spend £17.50 on a  tub of moisturiser, no matter how expensive most are! but it will be on my birthday list (i can promise you that)

So that was a little lush review, i hope that if you do suffer from sensitive skin i have helped you here, and if not you do try out these things, as they aren't just for sensitive skin! I hope to see you all back here tomorrow for Fridays January wish list! But i do have a little post coming up on my first ever glossy box! So look out for that! i wish you all the best and hope you enjoyed reading!

Spring wishlist

Hello beauties!

Sorry about not posting a lot over the last few days; a mix of revision and my english exam were sadly stressing me out...However i finally got my english exam out of the way today! Fingers crossed i did ok? So i can now sit back, relax, and write to you guys!

Today is just going to be a lovely little wishlist on a couple of outfits i've put together from a few websites we all love!

The first is what i like to call the stud and leather style, the jersey skater dress is a style i adore and want to buy at some point this year, mostly because jersey is always a really nice fit and a greatly comfortable fabric; comfort is supposed to be everything! I also really want some heeled boots this year! I've never been one for heels, mostly because i'm quite tall and feel a bit ucomfortable in heels... But i've decided to overcome this stupid idea and buy some form of heeled shoe. I've also paired these two peices with a studded leather jacket, mostly because i've just picked one up in the Topshop sale, but also because i wanted to keep the theme of leather with this dress, as skater dresses and dark dresses especially really suit leather. I think for me its because skater dresses flare, meaning wear the jacket stops the flare starts. i then paired these bits with some jewelry, the necklace i decided had to be gold, to keep with the darker coloured theme, but also very bold, hence the rings, just to draw attention to all aspects of the outfit, in my view it gives an outfit character.
attachment.png
The next outfit is a vintage style, and therefore a very spring/summer outfit ready for the upcoming year. The river island chelsea girl dress is the subject of this outfit, its a very bold piece but i think with really soft colours it can create a perfect spring look, the shoes fit in perfect with the belt and create a very sweet vintage style, the watch adds to this whole theme but also is very spring ready and cute to wear with a very simple outfit to add personality and character. And finally the cardigan, just to soften the bold print, add a layer of warmth (as in the UK its always a cold spring) and overall create an even bigger vintage effect!

Soap And Glory review

Hello beauties!

So I have decided to start doing a couple of reviews every so often on stuff I've bought recently for you guys! (gosh aren't I nice) For the first one I really wanted to review the soap and glory bumper set I recently got as a Christmas present, if you haven't seen them they're available at boots every Christmas for a limited time (they sell out FAST) everything in the set is worth £60.00, however it is sold for £27.00,  I have already got a few things from soap and glory, and liked them but I think this set makes me love the brand even more! so I wanted to share my love for the products with you guys so you can pick up anything that sounds up your street or at Christmas look out for the set!
(I've been trying out these products over the last two weeks for you guys!)
1. sugar crush body scrub: I used this first, in the shower, And the smell is just
perfection! There's a real smell of brown sugar that's just made gorgeous with this super tangy lime smell! My mouth is watering... Not only do you smell great but your bathroom smells amazing! I would buy this again in honesty as it Is a great shower gel, just don't get it in any scratches or cuts you may have (stings like crazy)

2. righteous body butter: I'd already been given a tiny tub of this and really loved that signature soap and glory smell! But I just hadn't used it, I've started using it every day now and I just really really like it! Will make you super soft and smell good!

3. hand food: this product is a lot of peoples favourites, and I'll happily back them up, it's a great moisturiser for your hands, and leaves them smelling really good, which is what you want from a hand cream!

4. Heel genius: now you're supposed to use this daily, which I've been doing happily, my problem is; putting socks on over the cream you've just put on your feet. its not an experience I really like...
HOWEVER, my feet feel lovely and soft. So it's sort of a lose win situation for me! It really does work though and smells great. So I'll just have to get over it. I would certainly recommend trying it out though!

5. Peaches and clean: I don't want to make this stuff sound bad, so If you don't have sensitive skin that sometimes reacts with skin products you will be fine with this product and can look away now!
Sadly my skin did not like this! Although if this does sound like you I would recommend the plum face cleanser? It sadly lacks the amazing smell of peach, however it reacts fine with sensitive skin!

Non sensitive skin people you still there?! Good! All I can say is that the face wash smells great (sorry!) and that other people have informed me that its good (really sorry)

6. Clean on me: the shower gel next! I love shower gels! This stuff is very simple, makes you smell great and is a built in body lotion! Perfect! What more is there to say

7. Smoothie star:  THIS SMELLS AMAZING OH MY GOD! I've spoke to so many people about the set and the first thing they say is 'have you smelt smoothie star?!' I feel so soft this stuff is just.... There are no words. If you do follow any of my advice; go buy this stuff!

8. Thick and fast: I used this today actually, I don't have much to say on it as I don't wear mascara much and I honestly can't remember the last time I bought one... But I want to start using this one, it is quite waterproof and it does stay on which is really helpful for someone who tends to rub mascara off!

9. Sexy mother pucker: I've had one of these before and I found it weird, basically it plumps your lips as well as being a lip gloss. Therefore it makes your lips tingle, not all day! But for a couple of minutes! It's a really weird experience you need to try it if you haven't already as its quite cool!

Well my friends! My first ever review!  That was exciting! I've loved writing it and i hope you loved reading it, if you do see anything you like from this blog feel free to subscribe to my posts, i look forward to writing more reviews for you. And as always look out for my next post!

All hail nail varnish!

Happy new year beauties!
Welcome to the first post of the new year!

Just a little wishlist this week as i have a few other posts to come at the weekend and next week! So this week i've decided to do a wish list of nail polish colours i want to pick up this year, some i've seen from bloggers on youtube, others that i've recently really been excited for!

1. Peacock green by models own, i know that a lot of people love models own and have stuck by it over other brands. Therefore i'd really like to try some, i really like this colour green and i only actucally have one green nail varnish so i wouldn't mind trying this! £5.00 from www.modelsownit.com

2. Red alert by models own, i no longer have a really red nail paint so i would quite like to purchase this one! Again £5.00 from www.modelsownit.com

3. I'd also like to try out the Barry M gelly hi shine nail varnish this year, i haven't really heard much about it however i've seen it a lot over the last month so i get the feeling it is worth trying, and who doesnt want a shine on their nails? So id like to try this blueberry colour as i have been wanting a very pastel blue for summer!£3.99 from boots

4. Again i want to try the barry m high shine but in prickly pear. This i will certainly be trying as i'v
wanted a pastel purple nail varnsih for a very long time, They look incredibly girly and sweet! again £3.99 at boots.

5. Next are two from nails inc. The first being one i've had for quite a long time but sadly ran out on me, its a really nice bright red called st-james, i've been using it for ages and i really do miss it as it was my favourite colour nail varnish ever, plus nails inc are really good quality nail paints... I need a new one! This is £11.00.

6. THIS. This is perfect. You've probably come across a lot of stuff about the nails inc leather nail varnish, if not why not? I just need it! Its made with a leather look finish and comes with llittle skull shaped gems to make them look extra in fashion this year, plus if its good enough for alexa chung its good enough for me. Its called bling it on leather and skulls however is £19.00. It'll have to wait until my birthday!

7. Next the essie mini winter collection from asos, essie again is a brand i've heard a lot of youtubers talk about, and from what they say they sound very good! there are four in the set;
Leading Lady: crimson colour with glitter
Where's My Chauffeur?: Turquoise
Snap Happy: Vermillion
Beyond Cozy: Gold glitter. I want to try this set or even just the turquoise colour, the set seems very good value however as one full sized bottle is around £10.00! This is from asos obviously and is on sale at £12.50.

Essie Mini Winter Collection
Well i hope you saw something you liked and if you have anything from the list let me know what you think of it? Again i have more to post over the next few days so stay tuned!
